30 December 2009: At its 61st session the Government of the Republic of Slovenia issued the Ordinance on the Establishment and Tasks of Work of the Government's Protocol Service (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No 1/2010). The new ordinance regulates legal basis for the operation of the Protocol of the Republic of Slovenia in the current constitutional order of the Republic of Slovenia and replaces outdated ordinance from 1988 (Official Gazette of the Socialist Republic of Slovenia No 29-1600/1988, page nr. 1984).
22 October 2009: At its 50th session the Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted a Decision amending the Decision laying down protocol rules (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No 56/07) currently in force. The new Decision laying down protocol rules shall amend the existing Decision laying down protocol rules, primarily for the purpose of changing the practice and rationalizing the work of the Protocol of the Republic of Slovenia.
